4" Chocolate Chip
4" Chocolate Chip Cookies The chocolate chip cookie, as we know it today, was invented by Ruth Wakefield at the Toll House Inn in Whitman, Massachusetts, in 1938. She was testing a new recipe when she decided to add chopped pieces of a Nestle chocolate bar to her cookie dough, expecting them to melt and create a chocolate cookie. Instead, the chocolate retained its shape, resulting in the first chocolate chip cookies. The recipe gained popularity, and Wakefield eventually sold the rights to Nestle, who began mass-producing chocolate chips for baking. Our Cookies are 4" round goodness
